Terms-of-service pages tend to grow teeth the moment commerce begins. This one is written for where we actually are right now: a small pre-launch site collecting interest and answering email while we get the line ready. Read it as a description of how Ridge & Range Jerky operates today — before any sale ever happens.

We're Not Selling Anything Yet
This site currently does two things, and only two things: collect waitlist signups and answer messages you send us through the contact form. There is no checkout, no subscription, no term-of-sale to agree to by using the page.
When the line opens, the purchase flow will route through a hosted checkout page so card numbers never touch our servers — the same place we describe on the privacy page. A full terms-of-sale clause (shipping windows, returns, refunds) will be added here before that happens, and the changelog will call it out.
Until then, joining the waitlist or sending us a message is free, reversible, and carries no contractual obligation on either side.
Intellectual Property
Your Stuff, Our Stuff
Two sides of the same idea: the brand assets that make us recognisable are ours, and the words you put in a contact form stay yours.
The name “Ridge & Range Jerky,” the wordmark, the logo, and any photography or packaging we publish are the property of the company and reserved. You may reference them in conversation, review, or social share, but you may not scrape, republish, or use them to imply endorsement without written permission.
Anything you send us — a waitlist email, a contact-form message, a reply to a thread — stays yours. By sending it, you grant us a limited license to use it for the stated purpose only (reply, ship notification). We won't publish your name, message, or email anywhere without your nod.
Governing Law
Governing Law (To Be Finalised)
This section is a placeholder. Because the site is not yet taking orders, there is no contract of sale in effect and therefore no finalised governing-law clause to point to. This page is descriptive, not a binding agreement.
Once commercial operations begin, a finalised governance clause will be added in this section before launch, and a changelog entry will accompany it. Until then, this section remains a placeholder and should not be relied on for any dispute, claim, or formal interpretation.

We'd rather fix a paragraph than defend a confusing one. If a term here reads like it was written by a machine, that's our miss and we'd like the chance to rewrite it.

This page will keep changing as we get closer to opening — and we'll call out every meaningful change in the changelog so you can re-read just the parts that moved.
